Ministry Opportunities

Sunday Morning Greeter – show up early to hand out bulletins and show guests where to go.

Pathfinders Class Helpers-Ages 1-4 – Help out on Sunday mornings to provide a safe and fun place for little ones to learn.

Cafe Helper – help set up and clean up before and after church with food for the cafe

Sunday Cleaning Prep Team-help get things ready for Sunday mornings. You can come at the end of the week or early on Sunday mornings.

Meals Team – Do you like to provide love through the act of giving good and nourishment? Sign up to be on the meals team and you will be called upon when the need arises.

Weekly Men’s Bible Studies, Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.

Men, invest your time in something that will give a great return to you, your spiritual life, and your family. You will have the opportunity to dig into and study the Word of God with other men who will encourage you along the way.

Nursing Home Visitation & Christmas Caroling

Sunday, December 4th at 2:30 p.m.

Come help spread Christmas cheer to lonely residents on this day. This is a great thing for your family to do together. You can come and visit with residents, deliver handmade crafts made by The Factory children, and sing some carols as well. It will help get us all in that giving Christmas spirit as we spend time together and with some of the elderly who need a little “pick me up”!

Men’s Bible Study Opening Up!

If you have been at Journey for the past 5 or 6 years, you know what The Giving Tree is all about. If you are new, it is easy to explain. Each year Journey Church finds ways to bless others through the Annual Giving Tree Project. It has taken on many different forms. One year we took up a special offering and collected over $1,000!!!! Another year we collected gift cards and sponsored a family for Christmas. Last year we simply collected toys for children and then took it a step further by serving a warm meal to local residents.

This year, it is a bit different, but very EXCITING!!!! Are you ready???? Drumroll please……

This year Journey will be collecting Shoeboxes filled with goodies for local children who may not be getting anything or much of anything else. The Mission 25 board is ready for you to pounce on this Sunday! Grab as many red tags (in the envelopes) with gender and ages that you want. Be sure to use the sign up sheet so we know what you are taking. A great idea if you have children is to take tags that are the same age and gender as your children so that your kids might see firsthand what it is like to pack a box of goodies for someone just like him or her! In Sunday’s bulletin you will see a special insert along with ideas of what to fill your shoe boxes with. Are you ready? Set! Let’s go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make a difference in these children’s lives and you will be giving the best gift ever.
