Step 4: Reach

Step 4 is an extension of step 3: serving. When we serve others, we reach others. Our ultimate goal in the Christian faith is to bring new believers into the folds of the Church, and guide them through the Discipleship Process (Connect, Grow, Serve, Reach). We are all meant to be Journey Guides as we bring friends and family into the Church and help them along on their Journey!

Journey Church is excited to introduce to you MISSION 25, and organization that has been birthed through the other ministries at Journey and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is very new and is currently under construction. Our plans are to provide the following for people in the community:

-a warm place to come recieve a warm meal

-a clothing closet

-a food pantry

Long term Mission 25′s goal is to minister to those in need by providing after school tutoring programs, GED programs, life skills classes, etc. The list goes on!

Right now the following items are needed. If youor someone you know would like to make a fully tax deductible donation, please contact us.

-a clothes washer and dryer

-basic kitchen supplies

-clothing

-dry goods and non-perishable items

-plastic tub containers for storing and displaying clothing items

-monetary donations

-your time of service

Part of Journey Church’s Goal through Mission 25 is to provide hope for those who may come from difficult backgrounds. Remoov The Risk is an organization that has been founded by Michael & Jeanette Holloway. The following are some of the local missions that Journey has been a part of in the past:

-Crisis Refuge Pregnancy Center of Rockdale, Georgia

-Faithworks Foundation in Covington, Georgia

-Back at the School Bash, Christmas Parade, Trunk or Treat on the Square (handing out cotton candy and popcorn)

-miscellaneous community event participation
RAK Projects (Random Acts of Kindness), which include:

-unloading trash at local dumpsites

-handing out free donuts to workers on Christmas Eve

Benevolence Projects, which include:

-annual food drive for local food banks

-annual Giving Tree Project to raise funds for underpriveleged families (last year $1,000 were raised and two families were helped in a HUGE way)

Journey Church is always looking for ways to serve the local community and the church.
